Final

In our upcoming acting classes we will have to be doing our final. What I am choosing to do for my final is to make my own comedy news casting. I think this will be good for me because I get to be relaxed and won't have to sing or dance or anything. I also find this to be good because I will be writing it by myself so it shows my creativity. Why I want to do this is because it is going to be fun because I'm writing it and I want to make the people laugh. I plan on hitting the topics of modern day problems and some double entendres that might make people life. Also even some jokes about Cheshire academy.

I believe this will help me prove as an actor because it allows me to do my own thing. It allows me to get comfortable with what I'm doing and shows off how creative I can be. This will also help with memorization. In the end I am just excited that I get some freedom.

Inception pt.2

As we continue to do scenes for our project in Acting class I've really done much of nothing. I play a small part in the scenes. I have done some camera work and that's pretty much it. I have done a lot of watching of the scenes and I do have to say that it is coming to well quite nicely. I did do my hard scene already and that was with Robert Carr as Robert Fischer and it was the type of scene where I had to pretend I was toured and was all beat up and I like that I had all my clothes messed up and my tie was all messed up too. I was tied to a sink with a tie as well. The scene turned out pretty well because me and Robert showed the emotion pretty well. It was tough because the room was very hot and it took a lot of try's because we each messed up our lines like 3 times each. So as we keep doing the scene and redoing the scene it got to be pretty hot. ,y favorite part of the scene is when Ryan comes in and like beats me up. It really added to the scene to show how the characters were more tense. It is going to be hard to find time to do the last scene of my part because John wants to do it in VDP and I have sports but we can find a time. I think that inception was a cool idea and i am really excited to see how the final product will turn out.

Inception

In our acting class we are having John direct a science from the movie called inception. The movie is a very confusing movie and some are the seens can be just as confusing because the movie is about people who manipulate dreams and go inside a dream inside a dream. Very confusing stuff. I think the scenes that we are doing is explaining it very weall though.m

I don't play a very big role. I am the persons uncle that they are drugging and planting a dream inside if head. I believe I am also his lawyer but I am not certain on that. My character was close to his brother and the father of one of the main characters so me and Fischer have a connection. Fischer is played by Robert Carr.

What I have to do to portray my character to the fullest is make it seem like I am older. That is because the real actor is like 60. There is also a science where I have to seem like I am distressed while talking Fischer/ Robert and I have to make it seem like I have been beat up and like in pain.

I just want to work the hardest I can to fully portray the character and learn the things and tips that John has to say. I am excited to see what we make of these scenes because I really like the movie and I want this to be just like the movie

Fight Me! Scene

In the recent acting class me and Josh Comune did a dialogue and not to brag we killed it! Our scene was between two guys. One of the guys who was played by me was the bully to the other person. This was all to try to impress a girl named Yolanda. So what he has to do is beat up his coworker to try to impress the girl named Yolanda. The man I play is sorta cocky but mean which was fun because I feel like that is a good role for me.The whole scene was very fun because there was a lot of back and forth between me and josh. In the scene we also do some physical acting which is good because it goes with the scene very well.

I thought the whole scene was very funny and Josh made a good choose on it. Some of the pros of the scene was that it was the perfect roles for Josh and I. I think that I played a good bully. I like how josh used his whimpy voice that made it more realistic. I thought the physical acting played well with the lines too. Some of the cons was that there was water moving in the background making lots of noise so I am not sure if we were both loud enough. What I think i need to work on in this upcoming quarter is to be a little louder and also to show more facial expressions that is to show

Blog

In the upcoming class of acting we have to act out another dialogue. This one is with two guys me and Josh. The background is that me and Josh are both in the office and I come over and bully him. We go back and forth until he asks why. I then say it's because of a girl. I don't want to ruin the rest but it's a comedic scene. The scene already has some funny parts to it with it so I am happy to see how me and Josh make it funnier.

Something I believe I need to work on in this scene is to really sell that I'm this confident guy who is trying to get this girl. I also need to work well with Josh so we can both make the scene funny to make people laugh. I also need to role though my lines better and be more fluent with them and not act nervous on stage. I truly want to work on acting with a person I have never acted with. I think Josh will be a good partner.

The way I would in to really read through the lines and find the funniest but reasonable way to say each part so the audience can be intrigued by the performances on stage. To work on the nervous part I would have to just relax on stage and pretend like I'm the greatest so I have confidence. I am very excited to see how the final part will turn out and it is nice working with someone I've had never worked with before so that is cool to do as well. I think me and Josh will work together nicely because we both like the same things and connect as people so we can h preach other.

Dialogue blog

In our recent acting class we performed a dialogue with another student. The one me and Robert Carr did was from a movie called the Naked Gun. Is it a spoof movie and is about a detective who is looking for his fellow partner who has seem to disappear. So me and Robert's part was a small interview between the detective and a scrub that has some information. The detective then has to bribe the man to get information but where the joke comes when the scrub asks to know why he the detective wants to know and he has to bribe the cop with the money he had just received. In the end I thought it turned out to be very funny.

My personal performance I believed I did pretty well. If I did have to work on something is to enunciate more and to not mummble as much. I also had a point where I like stumbled over my lines so that means I can be more fluent while acting. I thought Robert also did a good job and there isn't anything I could see that he did wrong. But he did stumble on his lines but it wasn't that big of a problem. My favorite part of the dialogue was trying to make the audience laugh and doing it with Robert was fun too.

My favorite of the other groups that went is the great gatsby one. I like that one because I think that it is a lot of lines to remember. I also like that fact that there are 3 people and the storyline is very interesting and they really know how to engage the audience by the way they show the emotion on stage. I also like how they care so much that they even go to the point to find out where to stand. I feel that when I act when have to add our own kind of creativity to it. So I don't get stuck on the exact thing as the movie or show.

I have just recently seen the great musical performed by the students of Cheshire academy. It was about a lower class girl who loves this upper class man but it is not right for them to be together because of their class differences. The man then has to pick who to be with. There were many moments that had me on the edge of the seat and I didn't know what was gonna happen. What shocked me was when he picked the other girl instead of Ti moune. J Raff did a good job of making the crowd feel bad for her

From what I saw I loved it. I loved the roles and the characters were very intriguing. The main thing that impressed me was that everyone on the stage could sing and not just sing but sing well. All the solos that I saw in the second half were very impressive. I also felt the connection between the characters they truly acted well. But my favorite was the story. I showed up at the second half and picked up the main storyline real quit. It wasn't very sophisticated meaning that it wasnt hard to understand. I'm gonna be honest I came to the musical not excited to be there and not wanting to go but now that I have seen one I can honestly say it was really fun to watch. That has to with a lot of the directing by my teacher Homie G.

What I found interesting is all the teachers that put work in and helped with the musical it's really good to see. The band was also spot on with the timing with the songs. If I had to have a problem would that the music was a tiny bit too loud but I'm pretty sure that is because I had the closest seat to the band. But other than that I thought the musical was great and I would definitely go see others and maybe someday I could act in some plays or something?

In our recent acting class ,which is very fun and I am glad I chose it, we had to act out a monologue from any place we wanted. My monologue came from the beginning of a movie called Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It is a very confident and very comedic. It is about a boy explaining how he fooled his parents into thinking he was sick and the keys for doing so.

I believe my performance of this certain scene was just okay. I only think it was okay because I had to do it three times. It was mostly because I was nervous. I found that strange because I usually not really a nervous person but the fact that I was going first was probably sort of the problem why I was nervous. What I need to improve on is to slow down and enunciate more. But some of that had to do with being nervous. But after I had some time to think it all over I after my first two tries I cooled down a little and actually got it done. It's not that I didn't know what to say but when I went up there my mind went blank. What I also needed to work on is selling it more. Meaning that I have to act out more things and make it bigger than it actually is. I didn't see my final copy but I don't know if I need to work on my voice but I have a feeling that's okay. I might need to add some pauses as well to to make it more intreeging.

As I looked at my video I has I realized that I was moving back and forth and tang dosent look good at all. I still found it fun to watch the others monologues as well.

They bought it. Incredible! One of the worst performances of my career and they never doubted it for a second. How could I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this? This is my ninth sick day this semester. It's getting pretty tough coming up with new illnesses. If I go for ten, I'm probably gonna have to barf up a lung, so I'd better make this one count. The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom. A lot of people will tell you that a phony fever is a dead lock, but if you get a nervous mother, you could land in the doctor's office. That's worse than school. What you do is, you fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, (confidentally) you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it. I do have a test today, that wasn't bull-s--t. It's on European socialism. I mean really, what's the point. I'm not European. I don't plan on being European, so who gives a crap if they're socialists.

They could be fascist anarchists and it still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car. (Singing in shower) It's not that I condone fascism or any 'ism' for that matter. Ism's, in my opinion, are not good. A person should not believe in an 'ism,' he should believe in himself. I quote John Lesson: 'I don't believe in Beatles. I just believe in me.' A good point there.

In our recent acting class we had to make a silent movie. It was the most fun I've had while at school. I loved the idea that our group had and I really loved the idea of me playing the girl. I'm glad our group went with more of a comedy silent movie. I think our silent movie came out pretty well, but there is some room for improvements. The main thing was that we had fun. What we really need to work on was our timing, our facial expressions, and just play having fun with it and improvising. I believe the other groups silent movie was also very good. I thought it was clever with the plane idea. My favorite part was the throw up. If I had to say how I acted would be good. My part didn't really take much acting that is why I said my performance was good. I really just want to have fun with different characters. If I needed to work on something it would have to be my facial expressions. My whole part was plain and easy so there was nothing really too hard while playing this girl. The whole time it was fun. There was nothing to hard yet because we haven't had to say anything yet. From what I seen by playing in a silent movie and watching other people's silent movie is that there are a lot of good ideas and be open to all of them. Another thing I learned is that there is never a final agreement reached you can always improvise and maybe that will be put in the final prôject so don't be afraid to try things new.

Hello my name is Cade Roberts. I am originally from St. Peter's, Missouri. St.peters is a town just outside St. Louis. I'm sophomore at Cheshire Academy  I'm 16 years old. I play Hockey and baseball. The reason I moved here was that my dad works for ESPN and was gonna move up here alone but he encouraged me to move up here with him because there is more scout and it is better for hockey. I'm really excited for the class. I've always wanted to be in acting but they have never offered it as a class in my previous schools. I'm not much of a fan of like stage acting but I'm mostly interested in movie acting, comedy, and improv work.

What I would like to work on most is are improv, tragic, commercial acting, and comedy. I want to do improv because I really want to explore my creativity and I need to work on quick ideas. I want to work on commercial acting because I feel that if you are any type of actor than you should know how to do a commercial and no better place to learn how to do that then acting class. I really want to do comedy because that is my favorite. I love all comedy movies and I feel that I can excel in doing comedy. But I believe that any good actor can do any role well. So that is why I want to work on tragic scenes. But I can't cry.

I've not had much experience with acting before. Besides a small role as a dwarf in a 4th grade play. But that is why I took this class. I'm very excited to see what is to come of acting class.
